A unique opportunity has arisen to join one of the UK’s most respected hospice organisations as Interim CEO Strategy Director. This assignment comes at a pivotal moment as they embark on an ambitious transformation programme whilst maintaining our exceptional standards of patient care.
The Role:
Working directly with the Board of Trustees and Executive team, you will lead the development and implementation of our 2025-2030 strategy, with particular focus on:
- Digital transformation of patient services and operational systems
- Integration of newly acquired hospice facilities
- Development of sustainable funding streams, including NHS partnerships
- Modernisation of clinical pathways whilst maintaining CQC ‘Outstanding’ rating
Key Deliverables:
- Design and implement a comprehensive transformation programme
- Lead the merger integration workstream across multiple sites
- Develop innovative partnership models with local NHS Trusts and ICBs
- Create a robust commercial strategy for our private patient services
- Oversee the implementation of a new EPR system
Essential Experience:
- Proven track record of strategic leadership within healthcare settings
- Successful delivery of large-scale transformation programmes (£10M+)
- Experience of working with NHS commissioners and funding bodies
- Strong understanding of CQC requirements and clinical governance
- History of successful stakeholder management at Board level
- Previous interim assignments within hospice or specialist care settings
Required Qualifications:
- Relevant postgraduate qualification (MBA or equivalent)
- Professional membership of recognised management body
- Evidence of continued professional development in healthcare leadership
Location: South East England (hybrid working available)
Start Date: March 2025
Duration: 6-9 months with potential for extension
Day Rate: £900-£1,200 depending on experience
